On April 9, Prof. Leif Kari of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) gave a seminar on the potential of hydrogel for creative noise management. A new simulation model shows hydorgel can have a significant reduction of the energy flow peaks, which is more than 30 times, as compared to the natural rubber.

Prof. Leif Kari focuses on the development and application of advanced materials for noise and vibration control. In particular, he has contributed significantly to structure-borne sound and vibration isolator characterization.
