On Jan. 22nd, Prof. Gang Chen of MIT gave a seminar on the photomolecular effects, in which photons can directly cleave off water clusters at the liquid-vapor interface. He previously headed MIT's Mechanical Engineering Department (2013-2018) and earned numerous awards, including the NSF Young Investigator Award and the ASME Heat Transfer Memorial Award.
